The EDM producer surprise-released his fourth album, titled F*ck U Skrillex You Suppose Ur Andy Warhol However Ur Not!! <3 (significantly). And it’s an actual blast from the early ‘10s previous, with all of the high-energy vocals and heavy bass he first made his title on. The 46-minute, 34-track album options some longtime collaborators together with Boys Noize, Starrah, and 100 gecs’ Dylan Brady. The album is structured as a DJ-set-meets-mixtape, hosted by phonk producer DJ Smokey — who, he says early on, “recommends you take heed to this album from begin to end.”
Andy Warhol follows Skrillex’s 2023 albums Quest for Hearth and Don’t Get Too Shut, the latter of which he additionally launched as a shock. He posted a clip from the album to Instagram on March 31, after teasing a few of the album throughout his March 29 headlining set at Extremely — his first time on the principle stage of the EDM fest in a decade. And now, seems, none of that was resulting in an April Idiot’s prank. Yeah, we actually are again within the 2010s once more.
