LA MESA, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — San Diego Humane Society’s Humane Regulation Enforcement rescued 40 canines and puppies from a La Mesa condo on Tuesday night.
In accordance with SDHS, the La Mesa Police Division notified Humane Officers on Monday night after they performed a welfare test on a tenant going through eviction. The tenant had reportedly not been seen since Dec. 23.
When Humane Officers arrived on the 500-square-foot condo, they found roughly 40 canines and puppies residing in feces and unsanitary circumstances.
