Group members joined the household of a sheriff’s workplace volunteer killed within the line of responsibility to dedicate an intersection in his reminiscence on Monday.
Sgt. Rob Muth, a retired legislation enforcement officer, was directing visitors as a volunteer for the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Workplace in the course of the Cumming Christmas Parade Dec. 13 when a car hit him. He died of his accidents Dec. 14.
Cumming devoted the intersection of Castleberry and Buford Dam roads the “Sergeant Rob Muth Memorial Intersection.”
Available for the signal presentation alongside members of Muth’s household had been Mayor Troy Brumbalow, Metropolis Council members Christopher Mild, Joey Cochran, Jason Evans, Susie Charles-Carr and Chad Crane, Sheriff Ron Freeman, Forsyth County Sheriff’s Workplace deputies, Residents Emergency Response Crew volunteers, Cumming Police Division officers, Forsyth County Hearth Division Chief Barry Head and firefighters.
Muth was described as “a lifelong public servant,” having retired from the Boca Raton, Florida, Police Dept. after 21 years of service. He served the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Workplace as a Bluecoat Safety Officer for 2 years, as a volunteer with the sheriff’s workplace Residents Serving to in Policing Unit and, most lately, with Residents Emergency Response Crew.
The driving force concerned within the collision with Muth, Ronnie Jake Kirby, 68, was charged with 4 misdemeanors.
